Event Technician Audio, Visual - Hyatt Regency, Mission Bay

Location: San Diego, California, United States; work is performed onsite in hotel, convention center, event venue, and warehouse environments.

Hourly pay: $23.23–$23.24 per hour.

What you will do

• Set up, operate, monitor, and break down basic audiovisual systems for events.
• Meet with guests onsite, confirm their needs, and ensure equipment operates correctly throughout the event.
• Troubleshoot audiovisual equipment and software issues and handle changes professionally.
• Coordinate equipment requirements with internal staff, external vendors, and clients.
• Complete equipment records, system entries, paperwork, order entries, and client invoices.
• Support revenue growth through floor-based upselling techniques.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; an associate’s degree is preferred.
• Ability to complete all training and certifications required for the position within one year.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and meet the listed physical requirements, including standing, walking, reaching, grasping, and working around audiovisual and electrical equipment.
• One year of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
• One year of audiovisual experience or equivalent educational-environment experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for team members who may operate company vehicles; additional DOT requirements may apply.
