Audio Team Member

Location: Remote role associated with Ocean Township, New Jersey, United States. Seasonal travel is required from January through June, including weekend availability and long event days.

Base pay: $20.50/hour

What you will do

• Set up, operate, and break down audio equipment and selected lighting software.
• Play competition entries and between-performance music according to the Backstage Team's schedule.
• Maintain smooth, consistent audio levels and ensure clear microphone sound throughout each event.
• Announce dance entries with a confident and enthusiastic voice when required.
• Operate lighting cues during performances, transitions, and awards ceremonies.
• Communicate missing music, troubleshoot venue-specific issues, and collaborate with event staff to keep shows running smoothly.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic knowledge of signal flow, mixing, and troubleshooting.
• Availability for weekends, travel from January through June, and 8–16-hour event days.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 30–50 pounds.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working in loud, dynamic, fast-paced environments.
