Senior Contracts Manager, Government Programs (Manufacturing): Managing and negotiating government contracts for aerospace, military vehicle, and critical infrastructure components with an accent on FAR and DFARS compliance, procurement vehicles, and technical data rights. Focus on building Amca's government contracting function, handling contract performance and closeout, and resolving complex modifications, audits, claims, and intellectual property matters.
Location: Onsite five days a week in El Segundo, California, or Washington, D.C.; applicants must be U.S. persons under ITAR.
Salary: $160,000–$200,000 USD annually plus equity.

is a high-growth manufacturing startup developing and producing critical components and subsystems for planes, military vehicles, and core infrastructure.
What you will do
- Lead negotiations with Air Force, Navy, and Army contracting and agreement officers across negotiated procurements, IDIQ contracts, task orders, SBIR/STTR awards, OTAs, and basic ordering agreements.
- Advise on government proposals, solicitation interpretation, contract terms, clause exceptions, cost or pricing data, TINA thresholds, and certifications.
- Support government contracting matters across and its factories, including prime flow-downs, DCMA audits, and FAR/DFARS interpretation.
- Own technical data and intellectual property rights positions, including assertion tables, rights allocation, Government Purpose Rights, and SBIR data protection.
- Manage contracts after award, including compliance, modifications, delivery, invoicing, DD250 submissions through PIEE, equitable adjustments, claims, terminations, and closeout.
- Build 's government contracting function as its first dedicated government contracts hire.
Requirements
- 7+ years of government contract administration and negotiation, including direct negotiation with Procuring and Administrative Contracting Officers.
- Deep working knowledge of the FAR and DFARS.
- Hands-on experience with both cost-type and fixed-price contract vehicles and their compliance obligations.
- Ability to operate in an ambiguous environment while building processes and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for explaining contractual positions to engineers, executives, and government customers.
- Ability to work onsite five days a week in El Segundo, CA, or Washington, D.C., and meet ITAR U.S.-person requirements.
Nice to have
- Experience as a Contracting Officer.
- NCMA certification such as CPCM, CFCM, or CCCM, or DAWIA contracting certification.
- Technical data rights and SBIR Phase III experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; active clearance is a plus.
