TL;DR
Senior Contracts Manager (Government Contracting): Leading federal contract and subcontract administration across the full procurement lifecycle with an accent on contract negotiation, proposal support, compliance, and government audit readiness. Location: Must reside in one of the listed U.S. states: California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, or West Virginia

Salary: $150,000–$170,000 USD per year

What you will do

  • Lead pre-award and post-award support for prime contracts and subcontracts, including reviews, negotiations, modifications, documentation, closeouts, and payment issues.
  • Support proposals by reviewing U.S. Government solicitations, terms, certifications, pricing, and compliance requirements.
  • Oversee compliance with FAR, agency-specific regulations, corporate policies, CPSR requirements, and government audit standards.
  • Lead the contracts and subcontracts team, establish processes, prioritize work, and report progress to company leadership.
  • Manage complex IT contract vehicles such as GSA MAS, CIO-SP3/4, Alliant, and NASA SEWP, including reporting, spending caps, performance periods, and labor-category mapping.
  • Administer subcontracting plans, small-business utilization reporting, data rights, software licensing, intellectual property protections, and organizational conflict-of-interest reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field with at least 10 years of experience, or at least 15 years of relevant contracts experience.
  • 10+ years of experience managing contracts teams, including teams of three or more people.
  • Experience managing contracts organizations for large or growing government contractors.
  • Working knowledge and direct experience with CPSR, FAR, agency acquisition regulations, ethics, government property restrictions, and federal contract negotiations.
  • Experience with FFP, cost-reimbursement, time-and-materials, IDIQ, teaming agreements, nondisclosure agreements, GSA Schedule contracts, and GWACs.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and eligible to obtain a security clearance.
