Contracts Manager, Government Programs (AI)

Location: Arlington, Virginia; hybrid in the DC/Northern Virginia area with travel to customer and program offices as needed

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Lead negotiations with U.S. Government contracting officers and prime contractors across fixed-price, cost-type, T&M/LOE, IDIQ, and OTA vehicles.
• Review federal solicitations and coordinate bid compliance, compliance matrices, and Section L/M traceability.
• Manage pre-award and post-award actions, including modifications, CLIN restructures, scope expansions, funding actions, extensions, and closeouts.
• Negotiate NDAs, teaming agreements, and subcontracts while administering prime contractor flow-down requirements.
• Maintain SAM.gov registrations, representations and certifications, and eligibility filings.
• Align contract terms, data rights, deliverables, billing milestones, pricing, and program reporting with finance and delivery teams.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in federal government contracting or acquisition, including experience as a warranted contracting officer, contract specialist, or senior contracts manager in defense or intelligence.
• Hands-on experience with contract awards, modifications, CLIN structures, option exercises, funding actions, and closeouts.
• Extensive knowledge of FAR, DFARS, federal procurement workflows, and FFP, CPFF, T&M, and OTA contract types.
• Ability to interpret technical volumes and translate engineering scope into CLINs and deliverables.
• Ability to produce negotiation positions, contract correspondence, modification requests, and maintain disciplined documentation.
• Ability to work across growth, proposal, finance, and program teams while building repeatable contract processes.

Nice to have

• Active Secret or TS/SCI clearance, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Former warranted contracting officer experience, including administrative or unlimited warrant authority.
• Subcontract administration experience with large prime contractors and experience transitioning prototypes into programs of record.
• DAWIA, DAU, or NCMA credentials, or familiarity with Salesforce or a comparable CRM.
