Senior Power Platform Developer (Microsoft Power Platform)

Location: Remote. The role supports a U.S. Department of the Interior federal customer; selected positions may require U.S. citizenship and federal clearance, including a background investigation of up to 10 years.

Salary: $110,000–$145,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise Microsoft Power Platform solutions for federal programs and business operations.
• Build Model-Driven Apps, Dataverse data models, security roles, business rules, workflows, and data-quality controls.
• Develop secure Power Pages experiences and create Power BI semantic models, dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Automate submissions, routing, notifications, approvals, compliance activities, and other business processes with Power Automate.
• Integrate solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Azure services, REST APIs, and external systems while implementing ALM, source control, and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and delivery teams, troubleshoot production issues, document solutions, participate in Agile ceremonies, and mentor team members.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience delivering Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
• 3+ years building enterprise Model-Driven Apps and Dataverse solutions, plus 2+ years developing and supporting Power Pages sites.
• 3+ years creating Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and data visualizations.
• Hands-on experience with Power Automate, Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, REST APIs, custom connectors, JavaScript or TypeScript, and integration troubleshooting.
• Experience with solution-aware development, managed solutions, environment strategy, Git-based source control, CI/CD, ALM, governance, and Agile delivery.
• Experience supporting federal, public-sector, or regulated environments. Some positions may require U.S. citizenship and federal clearance, including a background investigation of up to 10 years.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, Azure, CompTIA Security+, or Scrum certifications.
• Experience with federal civilian agencies, compliance, permitting, case-management, grants, records-management, or submission-tracking solutions.
• Knowledge of Power Pages authentication, web roles, table permissions, Liquid, portal security, Dataverse security, auditing, data migration, and integration.
• Experience with DAX, Power Query, row-level security, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Application Insights, or Microsoft federal cloud environments.
• Experience with C#/.NET Dataverse plug-ins, Power Apps Code Apps, Section 508 accessibility, and secure software development.
