Location: New York, NY, United States; candidates must be willing to work in New York and have unrestricted U.S. work authorization.

Salary: $75,000–$80,000 per year

What you will do

• Research, report, and write daily television segments for MS NOW.
• Determine video and sound elements for assigned segments.
• Communicate story development with the senior producer and participate in editorial planning.
• Pitch story ideas and identify stories with strong television potential.
• Research, write, and edit lower-third banner chyrons and other on-screen content.
• Produce content for digital platforms, social media, and MS NOW direct-to-consumer products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of journalism experience in cable or network news, websites, newspapers, or a related environment.
• Strong writing, research, and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of American politics, American history, global news, current events, and pop culture.
• Willingness to work in New York, NY and unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
• Availability for flexible hours, tight deadlines, and breaking-news coverage.

Nice to have

• Ability to develop story ideas, research and plan segments, book guests, and work with graphics and video elements.
• Wide-ranging news readership, including opinion pieces.
• Ability to handle daily script deadline pressure.
