Investment Accounting Manager

Location: Hybrid role based in Bristol or Leeds, United Kingdom

Salary: £78,372–£87,080 per year

What you will do

• Lead the production of statutory and regulatory financial reporting for the investment portfolio, including month-end close and quarterly Solvency UK/II asset reporting.
• Manage annual climate reporting figures and support greenhouse gas emissions calculations for loans and investments.
• Oversee asset data processes, maintain key data attributes, and analyse large data sets to identify and resolve issues.
• Lead process improvements, automation efforts, and digital activities using Power BI, Power Query, and Power Automate.
• Deliver change initiatives and support process, system, and reporting upgrades.
• Manage direct reports, support career development, and build relationships with internal stakeholders, third-party providers, and other external parties.

Requirements

• Qualified finance professional or relevant financial reporting experience.
• Experience in investment reporting and understanding of key investment data attributes.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational, analytical, and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to turn financial data into clear insights and manage reporting deadlines.
• Proactive, collaborative approach with the confidence to take ownership and drive work forward.
• Experience with, or willingness to develop skills in, Excel and Power Platform tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with or willingness to learn the PCAF framework for greenhouse gas emissions calculations.
• Experience leading reporting process improvements, automation, or change initiatives.
