Scientific Global Product Leader (AI)

Location: Remote from the United States, with up to 30% travel including travel to the Deer Park, Illinois site

Annual salary: $225,000–$260,000, plus bonus or incentive pay

What you will do

• Define and communicate product vision, strategy, roadmaps, success metrics, and investment priorities for AI-enabled diagnostic assays.
• Lead product lifecycle management from concept through launch and sustainment, including minimum marketable product definition, performance metrics, ROI, and portfolio optimization.
• Translate market research, Voice of Customer input, clinical evidence, and competitive insights into product requirements and commercially viable solutions.
• Partner with Advanced Staining Reagents, Digital Pathology, R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Commercial, Sales, and Marketing teams.
• Support evidence generation, publication planning, market access, adoption strategies, and clinical and economic value communication.
• Engage pharma partners, research institutions, key opinion leaders, and commercial stakeholders to shape product and partnership strategies.

Requirements

• Advanced clinical or scientific degree such as MD, PharmD, or PhD.
• Strong understanding of companion diagnostics, AI-enabled diagnostics, digital pathology, software as a medical device, and oncology or cancer diagnostics markets.
• Significant experience in product management, medical affairs, clinical development, or commercial leadership within life sciences, diagnostics, digital pathology, or related markets.
• Strong scientific or medical expertise combined with commercial orientation and the ability to translate clinical, scientific, and customer insights into product strategy and adoption plans.
• Demonstrated success leading clinical trial execution and owning product lifecycles, preferably for companion diagnostics, AI, digital pathology, or computational diagnostics.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, relationship-building, and influencing skills across matrixed teams, senior leaders, and external partners.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML medical devices, oncology diagnostics, pharma or biotech partnerships, agile development, or product management certification.
• Experience with medical device regulatory environments, including FDA or CE marking.
• Established relationships in pharma and biotech and experience leading companion diagnostic or AI-enabled products with partners.
