Senior Product Manager (AI)

Location: Remote; San Diego HQ amenities are available.

Annual salary: $165,000–$194,000, depending on experience, skills, and location.

What you will do

• Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution for a major product area from discovery through commercial launch.
• Identify customer problems through interviews, workflow analysis, product analytics, market research, and usability testing.
• Design AI-enabled product experiences using structured data, large language models, retrieval systems, AI agents, and workflow automation.
• Define AI product requirements, quality metrics, confidence thresholds, evaluation criteria, and customer feedback mechanisms.
• Lead product planning, backlog prioritization, release planning, adoption activities, and communication of tradeoffs to executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Monitor adoption, engagement, customer satisfaction, workflow efficiency, and AI quality to guide product investment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of product management experience building enterprise software or SaaS products.
• Demonstrated success leading products from discovery through commercial launch.
• Strong customer discovery, product strategy, roadmap definition, prioritization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority and communicating with technical and business audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience building products with artificial intelligence or machine learning.
• Familiarity with large language models such as Claude and ChatGPT, retrieval-augmented generation, AI agents, semantic search, vector databases, and prompt engineering.
• Experience partnering with Data Science teams to deliver AI capabilities into production and define AI quality metrics and evaluation frameworks.
• Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or another regulated industry.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, APIs, and modern data architectures.
