Commercial Credit Senior Analyst (Not-for-Profit)

What you will do

• Underwrite new commercial credit requests and material modifications from deal screening through approval and throughout the life of each loan.
• Monitor existing portfolios through annual reviews, interim updates, covenant monitoring, problem-loan management, and early-warning indicators.
• Review financial statements, tax returns, due diligence reports, credit bureaus, appraisals, industry research, and peer data.
• Prepare cash-flow analyses, collateral schedules, covenant sensitivity calculations, guarantor analyses, and financial projection models.
• Assess credit risks, mitigants, risk ratings, industry and market trends, and recommend appropriate transaction structures.
• Partner with relationship managers, participate in client calls and credit committees, and ensure compliance with commercial credit policies and regulatory controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, plus at least 2 years of experience in commercial credit, public accounting, financial statement analysis, or related financial analysis.
• Alternatively, at least 6 combined years of higher education and work experience, including 2 years in a relevant financial analysis field.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, credit metrics, Microsoft Office, and accurate financial analysis.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong organization, time management, and customer-focused interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Capital IQ, FactSet, Bloomberg, or nCino.
• Experience with not-for-profit underwriting.
