Senior Site Reliability Engineer (AWS/Azure)

What you will do

• Define SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, and reliability priorities with engineering and business stakeholders.
• Operate and improve monitoring, alerting, logging, on-call response, and blameless postmortems.
• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and traditional data centers.
• Automate repetitive operational work and create durable documentation and tooling.
• Partner with engineering teams on CI/CD, testing, canary releases, automated rollback, and safe delivery practices.
• Support infrastructure security, compliance, mentoring, and operational standards across engineering.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in site reliability, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering with end-to-end production ownership.
• Hands-on experience managing AWS and Azure resources, including ECS, Fargate, RDS, Lambda, SNS, SQS, S3, EventBridge, and Step Functions.
• Production experience with Docker, Terraform, infrastructure as code, the 12-Factor App, least-privilege access, and zero-trust architecture.
• Experience across Azure, AWS, and traditional data centers, including Windows VMs and IIS.
• Strong SQL and relational database administration skills, including query tuning, index optimization, and high-load incident resolution.
• United States citizenship and eligibility for a security investigation and classified Public Trust access are required.

Nice to have

• Azure or AWS certifications, such as AZ-104, AZ-305, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
• Experience with Azure Government, federal cloud environments, VA or DoD programs, FedRAMP, or ATO work.
• PowerShell scripting, HIPAA-compliant environments, red teaming, or penetration testing.
