Senior Software Engineer: Platform SRE (AWS/Kubernetes)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; office attendance required 3 times per week

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate reliable, scalable infrastructure across AWS and other cloud platforms.
• Develop and maintain Kubernetes, Helm, Argo, and deployment guardrails for safe service delivery.
• Improve observability using OpenMetrics and Datadog.
• Maintain Infrastructure-as-Code standards and reusable Terraform patterns.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, build tooling, artifact repositories, and developer productivity.
• Improve incident response tooling and partner with product teams on changes affecting the wider engineering organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software, site reliability, or infrastructure engineering experience with production infrastructure.
• Hands-on AWS and cloud infrastructure experience.
• Strong Infrastructure-as-Code skills, preferably with Terraform.
• Software engineering skills and experience building automation and production tooling in a general-purpose programming language.
• Experience with incident response, blameless post-mortems, security, IAM, networking, and change management.
• Strong written and verbal communication, proactive problem-solving, and sound infrastructure judgment.

Nice to have

• Experience operating AWS at scale across multiple accounts, regions, and availability zones.
• Experience with GitOps and continuous delivery tools such as Argo CD.
• Experience with IAM and OIDC.
• Exposure to disaster recovery, business continuity, resilience testing, or cloud cost optimization.
