Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote

Salary: $160,000–$200,000 per year

What you will do

• Define DevOps guardrails, standards, and best practices covering consistency, security, and compliance.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code with Terraform, and deployment strategies including blue/green, canary, and rolling releases.
• Build developer self-service tooling and internal platforms that improve delivery speed while maintaining governance.
• Establish observability with centralized logging, metrics, distributed tracing, and alerting using tools such as New Relic, ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Lead incident response, on-call operations, root cause analysis, blameless post-mortems, capacity planning, and performance engineering.
• Improve architecture resilience through automation, reliability reviews, chaos engineering, cloud optimization, and support for .NET services on Windows and Linux.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with AWS; multi-cloud experience is an advantage.
• Strong Terraform, CI/CD, Docker, and container orchestration experience, preferably with ECS.
• Proficiency with observability tools such as New Relic, ELK Stack, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Datadog, or Grafana.
• Proficiency in .NET, PowerShell, Python, Go, or Bash, along with strong Linux and Windows administration skills.
• Knowledge of DNS, load balancing, CDNs, network security, and strong written and verbal communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with service mesh technologies, SRE frameworks, secrets management, GitOps, or FinOps.
• Knowledge of financial-services compliance requirements such as SOC 2 and PCI-DSS.
• Experience with chaos engineering tools, production .NET applications, banking infrastructure, or crypto and blockchain infrastructure.
