Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote role associated with Fort Lee, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $160,000–$200,000 per year

What you will do

• Define DevOps guardrails, standards, and best practices across engineering teams.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Build developer self-service tooling and internal platforms that improve delivery speed while maintaining governance.
• Establish SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, and observability using logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting platforms.
• Lead incident response, on-call operations, root cause analysis, and blameless post-mortems.
• Perform capacity planning, performance engineering, chaos engineering, and cloud infrastructure optimization.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with AWS; multi-cloud experience is beneficial.
• Strong proficiency with Terraform, CI/CD automation, Docker, and container orchestration, preferably ECS.
• Experience with observability tools such as New Relic, ELK Stack, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Datadog, or Grafana.
• Proficiency in .NET, PowerShell, Python, Go, or Bash, with strong Linux and Windows administration skills.
• Knowledge of DNS, load balancing, CDNs, network security, and production reliability practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with service mesh technologies, secrets management, GitOps, FinOps, or chaos engineering tools.
• Familiarity with Google SRE frameworks and financial-services compliance requirements such as SOC 2 and PCI-DSS.
• Experience supporting .NET applications, banking infrastructure, or crypto and blockchain infrastructure.
