Content Specialist (SEO)

What you will do

• Plan blog topics and other content based on client practice areas and keyword research.
• Edit, refresh, and improve practice area pages, location pages, blog posts, FAQs, landing pages, press releases, and related materials.
• Research legal concepts, statutes, jurisdiction-specific rules, and factual information to create accurate content.
• Use AI tools and editorial judgment to improve content accuracy, structure, usefulness, voice, and originality.
• Create SEO outlines and keyword lists, and collaborate with SEO, Strategy, Design, writers, and clients on content quality.
• Manage GatherContent workflows, publish and migrate content in WordPress, and support brand, email, social, case study, and video assignments.

Requirements

• Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to produce accurate, reader-first content.
• Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and content structure.
• Ability to research unfamiliar legal topics and explain them clearly.
• Comfort with AI writing tools, editorial workflows, independent project ownership, and remote collaboration.
• Strong attention to factual, formatting, and linking details.
• Familiarity with WordPress for content publishing and updates.

Nice to have

• Experience writing or editing legal content.
• Familiarity with GatherContent or similar content management platforms.
• Experience at a digital marketing agency.
• Working knowledge of local SEO and AIO best practices.
