Remote SEO Specialist (AI)

Location: Remote, United States; availability required Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time

Salary: $17–$35 per hour for candidates located in California, New York, Washington, and Colorado. Compensation may vary for candidates outside these states.

What you will do

• Conduct SEO research, technical audits, and data-driven investigations into ranking and performance issues.
• Research and prioritize keywords using search intent, competition, SERP behavior, and growth opportunities.
• Optimize redirects, sitemaps, title tags, meta descriptions, structured data, internal linking, and site architecture.
• Apply AI-assisted tools, automation workflows, analytics, and predictive ranking methods to improve SEO performance.
• Implement local SEO strategies and improve website speed, code, server performance, user experience, and conversion rates.
• Use heatmaps, session recordings, surveys, and user testing to identify user pain points and optimization opportunities.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of SEO best practices, technical SEO, site architecture, coding, site speed optimization, and link building.
• Experience with AI-based SEO strategies, keyword clustering, content optimization, search intent analysis, and AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity.
• Hands-on experience with Screaming Frog and rank-tracking or competitive-analysis tools such as Semrush, Ahrefs, or WebCEO.
• Proficiency in HTML and CSS, plus basic knowledge of web copywriting and web design.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, time-management, and deadline-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English; reliable remote workstation and availability for 40 hours per week during Pacific Time business hours.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of JavaScript and PHP.
• Experience with local SEO, structured data, schema markup, entity-based SEO, and Core Web Vitals.
• Experience with heatmap tools, session recordings, surveys, user testing, SEO automation, or predictive SEO analysis.
