Project Coordinator (Bioeconomy)

Location: Brasilia, Brazil; travel to project sites in Rondônia is required, including Alta Floresta, Cacoal, Novo Horizonte d’Oeste, Jaru, Ariquemes, and Ouro Preto do Oeste.

What you will do

• Coordinate the planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, evaluation, and closure of project activities under hirify.global’s responsibility.
• Coordinate workplans, budget revisions, procurement, recruitment plans, terms of reference, contracts, and service providers.
• Engage government institutions, UN entities, civil society organizations, beneficiaries, and other public and private stakeholders.
• Organize and lead project meetings, workshops, field missions, supervision visits, and technical training sessions.
• Coordinate activities with UNIDO, UN Women, and other hirify.global and non-hirify.global projects in Rondônia.
• Maintain project records in hirify.global systems, prepare progress and terminal reports, and provide operational support to the Better Life Technical Area.

Requirements

• Advanced university degree in agrarian sciences, forest engineering, environmental sciences, biology, geography, social sciences, or a related field.
• At least five years of professional experience managing field projects in Brazil related to agroforestry, bioeconomy, territorial development, family farming, or similar areas.
• Brazilian nationality or residence in Brazil with a valid work permit is required.
• Working knowledge at level C of Portuguese and Spanish and/or English is required.
• Experience with bioeconomy value chains, cocoa production practices in Brazil, rural women’s economic empowerment, and hirify.global project systems is required.
• Knowledge of Rondônia and previous field experience in the state are required.
