What you will do

  • Supervise artisans maintaining and installing electrical equipment and services.
  • Manage assigned resources, budgets, maintenance priorities, and section schedules.
  • Set daily, weekly, and monthly technical targets and determine work priorities.
  • Interpret applicable legal standards and shut down the section when maintenance or unsafe conditions require it.
  • Respond to unexpected operational problems by adjusting plans and calling on specialist expertise.
  • Manage team selection, leave, overtime, training identification, and discipline within agreed procedures.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or Technical Trade Specific N3.
  • Electrical Trade Test.
  • Five years of post-trade-qualified experience.
  • Supervisory experience is advantageous.
  • The role is a fixed-term contract based at the Dishaba Mine in Thabazimbi, South Africa.
