Graduate Intern, Economics, Chief Investment Office (CIO) (Non-Campus)

Location: New York City, NY; full-time, in-office participation required

Base salary: $63,000–$105,000 annually

What you will do

• Conduct economic and financial research for macroeconomic forecasting, scenario design, and market analysis.
• Analyze economic data, financial markets, and emerging trends to identify risks, opportunities, and key outlook drivers.
• Assist with the development and evaluation of quantitative models for forecasting, stress testing, and risk management.
• Prepare presentations, data visualizations, and written insights for internal stakeholders and clients.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a master’s or PhD in Economics, Finance, Econometrics, or a related quantitative discipline, with graduation expected within 12 months.
• Strong foundation in economic theory, econometrics, statistics, and empirical research methods.
• Experience working with economic, financial, or large-scale datasets and applying quantitative methods to complex problems.
• Proficiency with Python, R, MATLAB, Stata, SAS, or similar analytical and programming tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain quantitative findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Employment visa sponsorship and STEM OPT participation are not provided.
