Annual salary: USD 104,606.10–141,525.90

What you will do

  • Provide paralegal and docketing support to the Patent Law group for U.S. and foreign patent matters.
  • Open patent matters in the IP Management System and maintain accurate filing dates, application data, parties, and docket information.
  • Review patent office, outside counsel, and service provider correspondence; docket prosecution events, tasks, and deadlines.
  • Coordinate PCT national phase entries, foreign filing decisions, filing instructions, supporting documents, acknowledgments, and confirmations.
  • Generate docket and portfolio reports, perform data-quality reviews, and coordinate corrections.
  • Coordinate patent annuities, maintenance fees, invention disclosure intake, records management, and process-improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree, or a bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of intellectual property docketing experience, or an associate’s degree plus 6 years of experience, or a high school diploma/GED plus 8 years of experience.
  • Experience supporting U.S. and foreign patent prosecution, including PCT national phase entries, Paris Convention filings, and foreign filing formalities.
  • Proficiency in ANAQUA or a comparable intellectual property management and docketing system, including docket and portfolio reporting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organization, follow-up, judgment, and discrepancy-escalation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, maintain accuracy under deadline pressure, and collaborate across teams.

Nice to have

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree or completion of an ABA-approved legal assistant or paralegal program.
  • Four or more years of intellectual property experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
