TL;DR
Consultant, Business Systems Analysis (Credit Risk) (SQL/IFRS 9): Leading complex projects to design strategic business and technology solutions for credit risk and end-to-end implementation with an accent on requirements analysis, solution design, and core credit risk concepts. Focus on documenting complex requirements, applying PD/LGD/EAD and IFRS 9 ECL knowledge, and guiding multidisciplinary technology and project teams.
Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; on-site full-time performance is required, with a hybrid arrangement of 1–3 days per week on-site and the remaining days remote.

What you will do
- Lead complex projects that deliver strategic solutions aligned with the enterprise architecture roadmap.
- Gather, document, and validate complex business requirements with business partners.
- Facilitate solution design discussions and prepare solution design documentation.
- Support end-to-end project implementation as a business and technology subject matter expert.
- Guide technology and project professionals while helping resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in business systems analysis or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL queries.
- Extensive knowledge of credit risk concepts, including PD, LGD, EAD, default definitions, delinquency, collateral, risk ratings, and portfolio segmentation.
- Understanding of the IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss framework, including Stage 1–3 classification, 12-month and lifetime ECL, macroeconomic scenarios, stage transfers, and overlays.
- Computer Science or a related educational background.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada at the specified location and hold a valid work or study permit where applicable.
Nice to have
- Experience with Databricks, Hadoop Hive, Oracle, Netezza, or SQL Server Management Studio.
- Python programming experience.
- Experience with business requirements analysis, process design, technical writing, and Agile ways of working.
