Fullstack Software Engineer (Java/Spring Boot) (ecommerce and supply platform): Building and maintaining backend services for a Kubernetes-based purchasing and article onboarding platform with an accent on event-driven architecture, data-driven workflows, and AI-assisted decision-making. Focus on designing scalable distributed systems, supporting robust analytics and KPIs, and delivering reliable features with cross-functional product and business teams.
Location: Hybrid in Spain, with 1–2 days per week in the office in Málaga; the posting header lists Granada, Andalusia.

What you will do
- Develop and maintain backend services for the purchasing and article onboarding platform using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build solutions that automate and optimize end-to-end purchasing workflows.
- Enable data-driven and AI-assisted decision-making through analytics and meaningful KPIs.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, Tech, Buying, and Business Intelligence teams.
- Support architectural decisions and ensure scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot and strong knowledge of modern backend development.
- Experience with event-driven architectures such as Kafka and distributed systems.
- Experience with unit and integration testing and CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or GitLab.
- Exposure to cloud platforms and container technologies, including Kubernetes.
- Good knowledge of relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
- Fluent English is required.
Nice to have
- Frontend experience with Vue.js.
- Interest in data, analytics, or machine learning.
