Placement Analyst (Insurance)

What you will do

• Prepare insurance submissions for new business and renewal accounts, including applications, loss runs, and supporting information.
• Submit opportunities to insurance carriers for quotations and follow up on responses.
• Build carrier relationships and develop knowledge of insurance products, rating plans, and programs, particularly work comp loss-sensitive plans.
• Negotiate pricing and coverage options for renewal accounts and prepare proposals showing coverage and premiums.
• Transfer bound new business and renewal accounts to assigned Account Managers.
• Track marketing activity, organize carrier marketing materials, update the Marketing Log, and maintain communication with coworkers and insurance contacts.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to use agency management systems.
• Ability to manage deadlines with a strong sense of urgency and maintain effective working relationships.

Nice to have

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with industry software.
