Underwriting Analyst (Insurance)

What you will do

• Design and price Debt Cancellation and Credit Insurance proposals.
• Conduct account profitability analyses and evaluate ongoing program performance.
• Prepare experience rating refunds and profit share calculations.
• Maintain state-by-state policy equipment and rate information.
• Review monthly outstanding balance reports and verify rates, benefits, and age limits.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve underwriting and compliance issues and improve operational processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in underwriting, sales, or a related analytical role.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and statistical skills.
• Knowledge of Credit Life & Disability Insurance, Debt Cancellation coverage, and life insurance regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel locally or nationally by car or plane and perform sedentary and filing-related physical activities, including lifting up to 20 lbs.
