Full-stack Software Engineer - Graph Engine (React)

What you will do

• Build and evolve Virtual Graph, which lets customers query data from Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery as a graph without moving the data.
• Develop the React-based UI in the hirify.global Aura console and guide its technical direction and frontend architecture.
• Translate Cypher queries into SQL, execute them on customer data platforms, and return results as graphs.
• Contribute across backend systems, cloud infrastructure, database connectivity, and the query engine.
• Collaborate across the product and mentor other engineers while working across the stack.

Requirements

• 5+ years of practical software engineering experience.
• Deep frontend experience with React, including technical decision-making, frontend architecture, and mentoring.
• Experience building complex, data-rich web applications.
• Willingness to work beyond the frontend and learn backend systems, new languages, and cloud technologies.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in London.

Nice to have

• Backend development with Java, Scala, or Go, including JVM experience.
• Cloud-native development and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
• Distributed databases, database internals, JDBC, HTTP-based drivers, or database connectivity.
• Software architecture and maintaining systems as they scale.
