Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (Java & React / Javascript / Angular)

Location: Hybrid role based at Oxford Nielsen House, with travel to the Oxford office at least once per week

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy applications in a cloud-hosted distributed system.
• Build capabilities that support researchers throughout the research submission and publication process.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements and gather feedback.
• Contribute to architectural decisions focused on system stability and performance.
• Improve delivery processes and partner with cross-functional Agile and DevOps teams.

Requirements

• Proficiency in most of Java, Spring or Spring Boot, JavaScript or TypeScript tools such as React or Angular, and SQL.
• Experience with build tools, Git, continuous integration, and tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Experience with test-driven development, mocking libraries such as Jest or Mockito, and modern IDEs.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, logging, technical documentation, and Agile practices including Scrum or Kanban.
• Knowledge of cloud environments and technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Terraform.
• Experience mentoring team members and supporting collaborative technical development.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-based solutions or interest in learning AI technologies.
• Familiarity with New Relic, OpenSearch, Kibana, or Coralogix.
