Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Solihull, United Kingdom, with hybrid working

Salary: £60,875–£81,543 per year plus employee benefits

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, optimisation, and support of enterprise digital solutions.
• Develop solutions for the nBS product backlog and deliver project benefits as a lead application developer.
• Maintain solution performance, stability, integrations, hosting, access, security, and SLA-based defect resolution.
• Collaborate with third-party developers and digital technology teams on end-to-end change delivery.
• Analyse customer and user behaviour through usage analytics and communicate complex system issues clearly.
• Mentor developers, manage escalations, and ensure compliance with development governance.

Requirements

• Proven experience building successful, low-maintenance enterprise applications and digital solutions.
• Strong programming and software design skills with JavaScript, HTML, XML, SQL, Apex, SOAP, C#, VB.NET, Microsoft .NET, and Visual Studio.
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude Code for rapid prototyping and developer mentoring.
• Experience with data analysis, process optimisation, change governance, and Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise flexibly, plan effectively, and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Commitment to coaching developers and delivering scalable, high-quality digital applications.
