Software Engineer - BrandX

Location: Remote within Northern Ireland; Belfast-based role

What you will do

• Own small-to-medium features from requirements clarification through delivery.
• Build and maintain dashboard, administration, billing, invoicing, authentication, and AI assistant functionality.
• Write production code, participate in code reviews, and maintain risk-appropriate test coverage.
• Contribute to CI, deployment practices, and the delivery pipeline.
• Use Claude Code and GitHub Copilot as part of daily development and help extend their capabilities.
• Debug production issues, participate in team ceremonies and learning activities, and join the on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–3 years of professional software engineering experience or a strong portfolio of shipped projects.
• Working knowledge of C# and .NET, with the ability to read unfamiliar code.
• Experience building web UIs; React and TypeScript are used, while experience with another modern framework is acceptable.
• Comfort with SQL, relational data, and unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Daily experience with AI coding agents such as Claude Code, understanding of generated code fundamentals, and comfort collaborating across time zones.
