Senior Backend Platform Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid role in Tel Aviv District, Israel

What you will do

• Develop internal tools and products for business teams across the organization.
• Build and maintain backend services, REST APIs, and integrations supporting complex multi-step workflows.
• Operate real-time, event-driven systems and take ownership of multiple products and services.
• Create and manage high-volume data pipelines with checks that maintain data quality and trustworthiness.
• Design and ship LLM and agent features, including tool use, prompts, evaluations, and production limits for cost, latency, and quality.
• Translate ambiguous business requirements into technical plans and lead delivery through production in a multi-cloud environment.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience as a Backend Engineer.
• At least 8 years of Python experience, or deep backend experience with the ability to ramp up quickly on Python.
• Production experience building and maintaining services and REST APIs at scale, including volume and failure handling.
• Strong SQL proficiency and hands-on experience with event-driven development.
• Daily use of LLMs and coding agents in software development.
• Experience with multi-cloud environments such as Azure, GCP, and AWS.
