TL;DR
Associate Database Administrator (SQL Server, Oracle): Supporting and maintaining production, testing, and development database environments with an accent on reliability, security, performance monitoring, and backup and recovery. Focus on troubleshooting incidents, supporting migrations, administering database systems, and maintaining availability through preventive and corrective actions.
Location: São Paulo, Brazil; hybrid with on-site attendance twice per week. Work schedule: 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on a 12x36 shift rotation.

What you will do
- Provide remote and on-site technical support for database users and infrastructure.
- Register, analyze, prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve database incidents and requests.
- Support database implementations, migrations, technology transfers, and operational maintenance.
- Monitor database performance, capacity, availability, and overall health, taking corrective action proactively.
- Administer and configure database management systems, including security, access controls, backup, storage, and recovery processes.
- Maintain technical documentation and collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, and support teams.
Requirements
- Experience administering databases across production, testing, and development environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of SQL Server and Oracle.
- Experience with backup and storage solutions, database security, access controls, and recovery strategies.
- Experience monitoring database performance, capacity, and availability and supporting technical migrations.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field. Upper-intermediate English proficiency is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, AWS, Shell, PowerShell, or Unix scripting.
- SQL Server or Oracle certifications.
- Spanish proficiency.
- Experience using AI-powered tools for technical work, troubleshooting, or productivity.
