Stock Financial Controller (Aerospace)

Location: Portsmouth, United Kingdom; hybrid working with travel a couple of times a year to other hirify.global and customer sites. Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance is required.

What you will do

• Execute month-end processes, including journalling, data verification, and assessment of cash-flow and balance-sheet impacts from inventory fluctuations.
• Analyse inventory accounts driven by procurement activity and forecast expected inventory levels.
• Provide commercial insight through financial reporting, analysis, and identification of inventory risks and opportunities.
• Maintain and improve stock financial management processes and tools.
• Drive budgeting and forecasting aligned with the five-year business plan and quarterly rolling forecasts.
• Fulfil audit requirements and respond to internal and external auditor queries.

Requirements

• Experience translating accounting data into meaningful information for operational and non-financial stakeholders.
• Background in stock control, ideally in automotive, aerospace, defence, maritime, construction, railways, transportation, or a similar industry.
• Understanding of financial accounting, forecasting, revenue recognition compliance, IAS 2, and IFRS 15.
• Experience working with inventory ranging from thousands to millions of pounds and lead times from three months to two or three years.
• Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance.
