Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within Canada, with the option to work from the Toronto-based office. In-person company socials are held twice a year.

Compensation: $110,000–$150,000 CAD total target cash compensation, based on experience.

What you will do

• Design and develop full-stack features for an AI-powered web application using Python, React, Redux, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• Integrate AI models and APIs for document processing, data extraction, and recommendation engines.
• Research and prototype AI applications and deploy models into production with support from senior engineers.
• Build scalable, secure, observable cloud architectures and data pipelines for AI training and inference.
• Create user experiences that expose AI-powered functionality and own feature delivery end to end.
• Contribute to architecture planning, code reviews, release planning, cross-team coordination, hackathons, and engineering initiatives.

Requirements

• Strong full-stack development skills across Python, React, Redux, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• Hands-on experience integrating and deploying AI/ML technology in production environments.
• Ability to design modular, testable, and scalable backend architectures.
• Experience with observability and monitoring for cloud-native applications.
• Strong communication, collaboration, ownership, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
• Applicants must be based in Canada for this remote role.
