Sr. Associate, Systems Engineering (Orbital Analyst)

What you will do

• Support satellite space situational awareness activities as an orbital and operations analyst.
• Operate orbit determination and satellite characterization systems using radar, passive RF, and optical data.
• Develop algorithms, models, simulations, analysis tools, and analytical processes for national security space programs.
• Perform quantitative analysis, trade studies, capability analysis, alternatives analysis, experiments, and architecture analysis.
• Collaborate with software development teams to implement and validate models and user capabilities.
• Interact with customers and provide technical input on program deliverables; lead limited technical aspects when required.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship is required for security-clearance eligibility.
• DoD SkillBridge eligibility requires active U.S. military status, 180 or fewer days remaining before separation, and at least 180 continuous days of active service.
• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of related experience, or a graduate degree with 0–2 years of experience; equivalent experience may substitute for a degree with at least 6 years of related experience.
• Experience with spacecraft operations or orbit analysis, including ephemeris and orbit determination.

Nice to have

• Experience with STK/Astrogator, Astrodynamics Standards, SOAP, Pro Engineer, or Astrodynamics Support Workstation.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, Java, parallel computing, UNIX/Linux, JSON, XML, and APIs.
• Experience supporting modeling, simulation, and analysis of national security space problems or Space Domain Awareness missions.
