Manager, Global Commodity Operations

What you will do

• Lead global commodity operations supporting the Global Commodity Management organization.
• Oversee supplier delivery performance, shortage recovery plans, risk escalation, and supply continuity.
• Lead, coach, and develop commodity specialists while setting priorities, performance expectations, and accountability.
• Govern supplier onboarding, qualification, documentation, compliance approvals, and ERP setup.
• Maintain supplier pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities, procurement data, and contract compliance.
• Drive RFQs, supplier scorecards, KPI dashboards, risk assessments, continuous improvement, automation, and digitalization initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, operations management, finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, commodity management, supplier management, or supply chain, including people leadership or major cross-functional workstream leadership.
• Experience managing global suppliers in a high-technology manufacturing environment, preferably electronics, telecommunications, networking, semiconductor, optical, or contract manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and financial skills, including cost modeling, quotation analysis, market intelligence, spend analysis, and total cost of ownership.
• Strong people leadership, stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, decision-making, and risk-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Microsoft Copilot, procurement analytics, and enterprise systems such as Agile, Oracle, or Kinaxis; ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or professional certification such as APICS/ASCM, ISM, CPSM, or CPM.
• Experience with electronics manufacturing supply chains, New Product Introduction, component lifecycle management, supplier quality systems, and regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of advanced contracting models, vendor-managed inventory, consignment, dual-source strategies, should-cost analysis, and supplier risk management.
• Experience leading procurement transformation, process standardization, automation, or digital analytics initiatives.
