Senior QC Engineer (Data)

Location: Bulgaria or Poland; remote/office work

What you will do

• Perform end-to-end validation for data migration, integration, and transformation initiatives.
• Reconcile source and target systems and validate ETL/ELT processes.
• Design and maintain manual and automated test cases using Python and QMetry or similar tools.
• Test data pipelines, workflows, and integrations across AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, and Snowflake.
• Monitor data quality, investigate anomalies, and track defects through resolution.
• Prepare test documentation, execution reports, and quality metrics while participating in Agile ceremonies.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software testing experience focused on data engineering, ETL/ELT, integration, or migration projects.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, data validation, source-to-target reconciliation, and large-scale data transformations.
• Experience testing cloud-based data platforms, Databricks, Snowflake, and layered Bronze, Silver, and Gold data architectures.
• Experience developing and executing test automation solutions with Python.
• Familiarity with QMetry or similar test management tools, BI and reporting solutions including Power BI, and defect tracking.
• Upper-Intermediate or higher English, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience working in Agile cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with data quality and observability tools such as Monte Carlo.
