Associate Staff Engineer - Data Engineer (Snowflake)

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable, performant Snowflake data models using dimensional modeling, OBT, and Data Vault patterns.
• Build, test, document, and maintain dbt projects across staging, intermediate, and mart layers.
• Develop ELT/ETL pipelines that ingest and transform data from ERP, MES, IoT, APIs, and flat files into Snowflake, AWS Glue, and Lambda.
• Optimize Snowflake compute and storage costs through warehouse sizing, query profiling, clustering, materialization choices, and resource monitors.
• Implement data quality checks, lineage tracking, documentation, and governance standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related role.
• Production experience with Snowflake and dbt, including data modeling, performance tuning, testing, CI/CD, and cost management.
• Expert SQL skills for complex transformations, window functions, CTEs, and analytical queries.
• Proficiency in Python for pipeline development, automation, scripting, and API integrations.
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau, including data-source optimization and DAX or LOD calculations.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP, including storage, compute, networking, and infrastructure-as-code basics.
