Senior Data Platform Engineer (Snowflake)

What you will do

• Administer and govern Snowflake environments, including RBAC, role hierarchies, access policies, authentication, network policies, masking, tagging, and Access History.
• Design secure access provisioning, approval, certification, and deprovisioning workflows across enterprise platforms.
• Build Terraform and Infrastructure as Code configurations, governance monitoring, and CI/CD capabilities for controlled platform and access changes.
• Optimize Snowflake platform economics through warehouse sizing, compute optimization, resource monitors, query tagging, observability, and capacity planning.
• Manage AWS account structures, IAM, trust policies, S3 Storage Integrations, cross-account access, Tableau, Alation, and related governance tooling.
• Establish governance foundations for Snowflake Cortex, Agents, Snowpark ML, and other AI and machine learning capabilities while partnering with security, compliance, engineering, and governance stakeholders.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience administering Snowflake, including RBAC, row-level security, dynamic data masking, network and authentication policies, resource monitors, and Access History.
• Strong AWS administration experience covering IAM roles, trust policies, S3 Storage Integrations, and cross-account access governance.
• Hands-on expertise with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, Python or equivalent scripting, and automation of platform provisioning and governance controls.
• Deep understanding of identity and access management, federated authentication, Okta, SCIM, and scalable RBAC models.
• Experience with Tableau, Alation, or comparable business intelligence and data governance platforms, including permissions and metadata governance.
• Experience supporting SOX, SOC 2, or comparable compliance programs, including audit evidence, access reporting, and control documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Collibra or comparable catalog and business intelligence technologies.
• Experience implementing GitHub workflows or comparable CI/CD capabilities for infrastructure and access-control changes.
• Familiarity with Snowflake Cortex, Agents, Snowpark ML, or related AI and machine learning governance.
