Service Technician (Water Treatment)

Location: Eastern Cape, Uitenhage/Kariega, South Africa; must be based in the Eastern Cape and work at the Toyota SA site

What you will do

• Operate, monitor, and maintain the plant's process and wastewater treatment systems.
• Conduct daily water chemistry testing for effluent batches, cooling towers, and potable water.
• Manage chemical stock, fill dosing tanks, and take and record daily water meter readings.
• Perform daily sludge dam treatment and complete required visual workplace information.
• Maintain housekeeping and ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Build relationships with key personnel and perform troubleshooting and repairs as required.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• B-Tech degree or diploma in Chemical Engineering or Analytical Chemistry.
• 1–5 years of experience in a similar environment.
• Physical fitness and a thorough, accurate, detail-oriented approach.
• Strong relationship-building, self-discipline, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be based in the Eastern Cape.
