Senior Business Analyst (Insurance)

What you will do

• Lead complex operational and technically focused projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, risk assessments, and recommendations for new business approaches.
• Translate business requirements into actionable solutions and collaborate with development, supplier, and cross-functional teams.
• Mentor Business Analysts and support performance reviews, objectives, development plans, and career progression.
• Model current and future processes, analyse technical requirements, and constructively challenge solution approaches.
• Use SQL and Excel for data analysis and maintain technical documentation covering architecture, data flows, integrations, configuration, and custom developments.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst, ideally in insurance or financial services.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, stakeholder management, communication, and technical documentation skills.
• Experience delivering operationally and technically complex business improvements.
• Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques, including SQL and Excel.
• Ability to work independently with high accountability and minimal guidance.
• Applicants requiring a Graduate or Post-Study Work visa must have at least one year remaining; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• CBAP, PMI-PBA, or an equivalent business analysis certification.
• Agile or Scrum certification, such as Scrum Master or Agile Practitioner.
