Security Risk & Governance (Sr.) Manager (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Build and expand the global information and cyber security governance and oversight framework.
• Lead communication and coordination with global subsidiaries on security matters, software budgets, procurement, cyber security intelligence, and Global Information Security Committee initiatives.
• Provide security expertise for subsidiary audits, incident reports, strategic security initiatives, and cyber security governance.
• Coordinate cross-entity cyber oversight activities and support entity reporting.
• Work with subsidiary IT and Security managers to synchronize IT and security controls.
• Support the Global IT & Security Team with additional security duties as required.

Requirements

• At least five years of professional experience in cybersecurity and IT risk-related fields.
• Technical proficiency in security incident response, penetration testing, cloud security, and IT systems.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST CSF, or experience operating an ISMS framework.
• Strong business-level written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese, including the ability to read regulatory documentation and write internal documents in both languages.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, teamwork, and project management skills.
• Degree-level education or equivalent experience, ideally in a technical discipline.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of enterprise security concepts such as Zero Trust, Shift Left, and defense in depth.
• Knowledge of ITIL and other corporate IT operations frameworks.
• Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, SSCP, or GIAC.
• Project management certification such as PMP.
• Experience working at the head office of a global organization.
