Seasonal Staff Tax Content Analyst

Location: Frisco, Texas, based in the Dallas office

What you will do

• Maintain tax programs and related products in compliance with taxing agency regulations and guidelines.
• Research, analyze, and interpret federal and state tax legislation, codes, regulations, forms, and instructions.
• Implement moderate tax product changes using code and internal software.
• Perform unit testing and manual or automated quality assurance checks during the annual update cycle.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum team, complete sprint commitments, and implement process improvements.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of federal and state taxation, preferably across individual, business, nonprofit, estates, and trusts taxation.
• 3–7 years of income tax preparation or analysis experience.
• Moderate understanding of software best practices and coding techniques.
• Ability to learn and use tax content development tools and testing processes.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and listening skills.
• BS/BA in Business Accounting, Computer Science, or equivalent related experience; working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
