Senior Risk Management Consultant (Enterprise Risk Management)

Location: Arlington, Virginia; full-time on-site at the Pentagon

Salary: $120,000–$130,000 per year, with potential performance-based bonuses and additional incentives.

What you will do

• Review historical enterprise risk data, assessments, reports, and governance materials to identify recurring themes, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop a phased ERM expansion plan covering governance, stakeholder participation, risk assessment, reporting, and effectiveness measures.
• Identify and assess risks affecting enterprise objectives, mission outcomes, and leadership decisions across DAF organizations.
• Develop and monitor key risk indicators and assessment criteria to identify emerging risks and changes in exposure.
• Facilitate senior-leader discussions on risk appetite, response options, resource priorities, and trade-offs.
• Establish consistent practices for documenting, aggregating, escalating, and monitoring enterprise risks and response actions, including executive briefings and dashboards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise risk management, organizational strategy, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, public policy, or a related field; 4+ additional years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
• Experience supporting or managing an ERM program, including risk governance, assessment, and reporting.
• Experience with DAF, DoD/DoW, or another military department, including work across organizational boundaries.
• Strong analytical, written, verbal, and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate with senior leaders.
• Active Secret clearance, United States work eligibility, and ability to work full-time on-site at the Pentagon are required.
