JavaScript Engineer

What you will do

• Understand requirements and contribute across the full software development lifecycle.
• Identify production and non-production application issues and raise design concerns.
• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient JavaScript code.
• Integrate applications with REST services and support backend service integration.
• Prepare and release applications into production.
• Investigate alternatives, present options for architectural review, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional JavaScript experience.
• Experience with web frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or Svelte.
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, REST services, NPM or Yarn, and browser debugging.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Jasmine or Jest and mocking tools such as WireMock.
• Experience using Jira, Git, testing frameworks, and web servers such as Nginx or Apache.
• Ability to read and identify issues in backend code and understand the application lifecycle from development through deployment.

Nice to have

• Full-stack development experience.
• Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, DevOps, or automation tools such as Cypress, Protractor, or Selenium.
• Webpack, SCSS, SASS, or monorepo tooling such as Nx or Lerna.
