Senior Engineer, R&D (Biomedical Engineering)

Location: Hybrid role based at the Raritan, New Jersey site, with an alternate location in Irving, Texas, United States. Travel of up to 10% may be required.

Base pay: $92,000–$148,350 per year, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of breast implants, tissue expanders, and related products and processes.
• Contribute to product line extensions, product improvements, and commercialization activities under quality system requirements.
• Design, execute, and analyze system, device, component, and material testing.
• Translate user and patient needs into design requirements, specifications, verified devices, and validated procedures.
• Lead verification and validation activities through regulatory clearance and design transfer.
• Collaborate with clinical, regulatory, quality, manufacturing, marketing, clinicians, development partners, and vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 2–4+ years of progressive experience in medical device R&D or related technical roles.
• Experience contributing to multidisciplinary product development, testing, design reviews, and regulatory activities.
• Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with analytical reasoning, feasibility studies, preclinical research, prototyping, biostatistics, bioinformatics, or SAP Product Lifecycle Management.
