TL;DR
Communications Specialist (Internal Communications): Managing sitewide communications, employee forums, onboarding, and workforce training programs at HP’s Corvallis site with an accent on cross-functional coordination, employee engagement, and consistent program delivery. Focus on building scalable communication and learning systems, executing leadership forums and on-site events, and improving the employee journey from recruiting through development.

Location: Corvallis, Oregon, United States of America; on-site execution is required for employee events and new employee orientation.

Salary: $83,000–$127,800 USD annually, with additional bonus and/or equity opportunities for candidates in the United States.

What you will do

  • Own the site communications strategy, calendar, governance model, approval workflows, and communication channels.
  • Develop emails, announcements, newsletters, leadership messaging, town halls, Coffee Talks, Manager Exchange sessions, and other employee forums.
  • Coordinate agendas, speakers, room and A/V logistics, run-of-show plans, Q&A intake, and follow-up communications for in-person and virtual events.
  • Manage sitewide training, role-based learning plans, certification programs, training calendars, delivery cadence, and participation reporting.
  • Lead the on-site New Employee Orientation program and coordinate the transition from recruiting to onboarding with HR and Recruiting.
  • Partner with site leadership, Site Council, Learning & Development, Recruiting, CREWS, EHS, and other stakeholders to build scalable employee programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, marketing, business, public relations, or a related discipline.
  • Typically 4–7 years of experience; 5+ years preferred in communications, program management, learning and development, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex topics into clear messaging.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional programs and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Smartsheet, Forms, and LMS platforms such as SABA is preferred.
  • Role location: Corvallis, Oregon, United States of America.
