Reliability Engineer (Power Electronics)

Location: Mesa, Arizona, USA; hybrid as required

What you will do

• Develop and maintain reliability plans across design, qualification, production, field deployment, and end-of-life stages.
• Define and execute qualification, reliability demonstration, accelerated life, HALT/HASS, environmental, electrical, thermal, mechanical, and operational testing.
• Create test plans covering methods, sample sizes, stress levels, and pass/fail criteria.
• Analyze laboratory, production, warranty, service, and field-return data to identify failure modes and improvement opportunities.
• Lead or support field-failure investigations, root-cause analysis, containment, corrective actions, and effectiveness verification.
• Provide reliability input to product specifications, validation, manufacturing controls, service strategies, warranty planning, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in reliability engineering or a related discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 8+ years of reliability engineering or closely related experience.
• Hands-on experience with accelerated life and stress testing, reliability demonstration testing, environmental testing, and product robustness assessment.
• Experience analyzing field failures, warranty data, service records, test failures, and product-performance information.
• Experience with reliability and statistical analysis tools such as ReliaSoft, Minitab, JMP, MATLAB, Python, R, or comparable software.
• Experience with complex power electronics, utility-scale inverters, or comparable industrial products is expected.
