Junior Trader (FICC)

Location: New York, New York; hybrid schedule with at least four full days per week in an hirify.global office

Salary: $100,000–$110,000 base USD per year, plus incentive pay

What you will do

• Execute trades across global rates derivatives, FX derivatives, and equity derivatives while supporting best execution objectives.
• Develop knowledge of interest rate derivatives, FX and equity options, market conventions, pricing concepts, Greeks, and risk management.
• Partner with Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams to support trade execution, settlement, and regulatory adherence.
• Build relationships with counterparties to improve liquidity access, market intelligence, and idea generation.
• Assist portfolio managers with position monitoring, trade opportunity evaluation, and investment decision support.
• Prepare and automate performance reports, transaction cost analysis, trading insights, and workflow improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related concentration preferred.
• Demonstrated interest in financial markets, macroeconomics, and trading.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, organizational, and communication skills with close attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities during periods of heightened trading activity and collaborate with internal teams and counterparties.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to work from the New York office at least four full days per week under the current workplace model.

Nice to have

• Prior trading experience or familiarity with Aladdin or Charles River.
• Experience with Python, VBA, SQL, or other programming languages.
