What you will do

• Develop and implement a comprehensive government relations strategy with senior leadership.
• Monitor legislative, regulatory, and policy developments affecting the health system.
• Build and maintain relationships with elected officials, administrative officials, chambers, coalitions, trade associations, and advocacy groups.
• Organize and participate in government meetings, hearings, chamber events, task forces, and related initiatives.
• Prepare policy reports, organizational comments, and statements responding to federal, state, county, and municipal policy issues.
• Advise senior leadership, educate internal audiences, maintain an advocacy network, and ensure compliance with lobbying laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in political science, public relations, communications, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in government relations, public policy, or advocacy.
• Proven success in legislative and regulatory advocacy.
• Strong network of contacts within government and industry.
• In-depth knowledge of the legislative and regulatory process in New Hampshire.
• Professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to represent the health system positively.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in public policy, law, government, or a related field.
• Government relations experience in healthcare.
