Capstone Clinical Nursing Instructor

Location: Arlington, VA, USA; in-person teaching at assigned inpatient clinical facilities

Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment, depending on education and experience.

What you will do

• Mentor BSN students during their final clinical practicum in an inpatient healthcare setting.
• Implement the nursing curriculum, course objectives, and program outcomes through clinical teaching.
• Plan clinical experiences, provide direct supervision, and evaluate student performance.
• Prepare clinical assignments, provide documented feedback, and support student remediation.
• Coordinate with clinical-site personnel regarding policies, procedures, expectations, and student concerns.
• Collaborate with faculty and college administration on program development, assessment, compliance, and student success.

Requirements

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered professional nursing license in Virginia required.
• At least two years of registered nursing experience within the last five years in the area of instruction.
• Must live within reasonable proximity to Arlington, VA and teach at assigned clinical locations.
• Strong nursing subject-matter expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for nursing education, lifelong learning, student support, and professional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Teaching or precepting experience.
• Completed MSN degree.
• Experience teaching simulation, skills lab, or didactic nursing content.
