TL;DR
Senior Program Analyst (Aerospace): Analyzing requirements, budgets, schedules, acquisition documentation, and aircraft and weapon program data with an accent on NAVAIR acquisition processes, systems engineering, and program controls. Focus on preparing procurement documentation, tracking program status, and managing risk, issue, and opportunity review materials.

Location: Lexington Park, Maryland, with support for the NAVAIR program office in Patuxent River, Maryland

Salary: $95,000–$143,000 per year

What you will do

  • Apply analytical techniques to evaluate program and project objectives, requirements, status, budgets, and schedules.
  • Prepare acquisition and procurement documentation, including J&A, ISTRAP, SOW, SOO, CDRL, SPID, and PID documents.
  • Perform business case analyses, market research support, and Independent Government Cost Estimates.
  • Collect, organize, interpret, and manage data related to aircraft, weapons, and product acquisition programs.
  • Track program status and schedules while supporting documentation, change control, and data management processes.
  • Support team-level Risk, Issue, Opportunity review boards and prepare related documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience performing related duties.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Understanding of logistics pillars, logistics concepts, and systems engineering.
  • Active/current Secret-level security clearance required.
  • Ability to work in support of the NAVAIR PMA-265 F/A-18 and EA-18G program office in Maryland.

Nice to have

  • Experience with SECNAV, OPNAV, OSD, PPBS, DD254, procurement, requisition, and contract data documentation.
  • Experience structuring and monitoring program schedules with Microsoft Project.
  • Five years of NAVAIR support experience or military aviation experience with the USN, USMC, or USAF.
  • Experience with F/A-18 or EA-18G aircraft, or civilian experience with the NAVAIR command structure.
